Turning On the Laptop
- Plug in the power adapter to a power outlet.
- Connect the power adapter to the laptop.
- Press the power button, located on the top row of the keyboard, to turn on the laptop.
Setting Up Windows 10 Home
- Follow the on-screen instructions to choose your region and language preferences.
- Create a user account by entering your name and a password.
- Customize your settings, such as privacy options and desktop background, according to your preferences.
- Once the setup is complete, you will be taken to the Windows desktop.
Connecting to Wi-Fi
- Click on the Wi-Fi icon in the bottom right corner of the taskbar.
- Select your Wi-Fi network from the list of available networks.
- Enter the password for your Wi-Fi network, if prompted, and click “Connect”.
Browsing the Internet
- Open a web browser such as Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge by clicking on its icon on the desktop or in the taskbar.
- In the address bar at the top of the browser window, type in a web address (e.g. www.google.com) and press Enter to go to that website.
- Use the mouse pad or an external mouse to scroll up and down on webpages.
- To go back to a previous webpage, click on the back arrow button on the top left of the browser window.
Watching Videos
- Open a video streaming website such as YouTube or Netflix in a web browser.
- Search for a video you want to watch or browse suggested videos.
- Click on the video to start playing it.
- Use the volume buttons on the keyboard or the volume slider on the video player to adjust the volume.
- To exit full-screen mode, press the Esc key or click on the “Exit full-screen” button on the video player.
