How to Use the New Samsung Galaxy S21 5G
Getting Started
- Insert a SIM card into the SIM card slot.
- Charge the phone using the included data cable and any compatible power source.
- Power on the device by pressing and holding the power button until the Samsung logo appears.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to set up the phone.
Basic Functions
- To unlock the phone, swipe up from the bottom of the screen or use the Face Recognition or Fingerprint Sensor features.
- To navigate through the device, use the touchscreen by tapping or swiping your finger.
- To access apps and settings, tap the App Drawer icon in the bottom center of the screen or swipe up from the bottom of the screen.
- To return to the home screen from any app, tap the Home button in the bottom center of the screen.
- To view recently used apps, swipe up from the bottom center of the screen and hold or swipe left or right.
- To adjust the volume, use the volume buttons located on the side of the device.
Camera
- To open the Camera app, swipe left from the home screen, or tap the Camera icon in the App Drawer.
- To take a photo, tap the shutter button in the center of the screen.
- To switch between different camera modes, swipe left or right on the screen.
- To record a video, tap the video camera icon or switch to video mode and tap the record button.
- To access additional camera settings, tap the gear icon in the top left corner of the screen.
Connecting to Networks
- To connect to a Wi-Fi network, swipe down from the top of the screen to open the notification panel, tap the Wi-Fi icon, and select a network from the list.
- To enable mobile data, swipe down from the top of the screen, tap the Mobile Data icon, and toggle it on.
- To make a phone call, open the Phone app and enter the phone number using the on-screen keypad, then tap the Call button.
- To send a text message, open the Messages app, tap the compose button, enter the recipient’s phone number, type your message, and tap the send button.
Additional Features
- To customize your device’s settings, go to the Settings app located in the App Drawer.
- To transfer files or media to and from your device, connect it to a computer using the included data cable.
- To access your apps, swipe up from the bottom of the screen to open the App Drawer, then swipe left or right to browse through the available apps.
