How to Use the XGODY Y17 Android Smartphone

Getting Started

• Remove the XGODY Y17 smartphone from the box.
• Press and hold the power button on the side of the phone to turn it on.
• Follow the on-screen instructions to set up the initial settings, such as language, Wi-Fi connection, and Google account.

Inserting SIM Cards

• Make sure the XGODY Y17 is turned off.
• Locate the SIM card tray on the side of the phone.
• Use a SIM card ejector tool or a paperclip to open the SIM card tray.
• Insert the Nano SIM cards into the designated slots. SIM 1 and SIM 2 for Nano SIM cards.
• Close the SIM card tray.

Inserting a TF Card

• Make sure the XGODY Y17 is turned off.
• Locate the TF card slot on the side of the phone.
• Use a SIM card ejector tool or a paperclip to open the TF card slot.
• Insert the TF card into the slot.
• Close the TF card slot.

Charging the Battery

• Connect the provided USB cable to the phone’s USB port.
• Connect the other end of the USB cable to a power source, such as a wall adapter or a computer’s USB port.
• Wait for the battery to fully charge. It is recommended to charge the phone for at least 2-3 hours before first use.

Unlocking the Phone

• Press the power button briefly to wake up the phone.
• Position your face in front of the front-facing camera and wait for the phone to recognize your face.
• The phone will unlock automatically when your face is recognized.

Using the Phone

• Tap on the screen to select apps or options.
• Swipe up from the bottom of the screen to access the app drawer.
• Swipe down from the top of the screen to access the notification panel.
• Swipe left or right on the home screen to switch between different home screen pages.

Taking Photos

• Open the Camera app by tapping on its icon in the app drawer.
• Tap on the screen to focus on the subject.
• Tap the capture button to take a photo.
• Swipe left or right to switch between different camera modes, such as Photo, Video, and Beauty.

Accessing Internet and Making Calls

• Connect to a Wi-Fi network by going to Settings > Wi-Fi and selecting a network.
• To make a call, open the Phone app from the app drawer, enter the phone number, and tap the call button.
• To browse the internet, open the Chrome app from the app drawer, enter a web address, and tap Go.

Additional Tips

• To expand the storage capacity, insert a MicroSD card into the TF card slot.
• To customize the phone’s settings, go to Settings > System or Settings > Personalization.
• To update the software, go to Settings > System > System update.
